Peter G. Wenzl

Peter G. Wenzl is an associate attorney with the Carmel, Indiana law firm of Smith & Wade. His practice is focused on general insurance defense, representing insurance companies and their insureds in coverage disputes, personal injury claims, and property damage actions.

Mr. Wenzl completed his undergraduate work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1990, earning a B.A. in history. In 2001, he graduated from the Indiana University School of Law.

He is admitted to practice in all Indiana state courts as well as the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.

Mr. Wenzl brings wide-ranging experience in insurance matters to the practice of law. He worked as a Senior Claims Representative for Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company for eight years, specializing in bodily injury claims. This experience allows him to provide an insiders perspective on the legal matters that affect insurance companies and their insureds.

Mr. Wenzl grew up in the Northeast and Charlotte, North Carolina. He moved to Indiana in 1997 to begin law school. He, his wife, and two daughters live in Crawfordsville, Indiana, where he coaches youth soccer in his spare time. Pete is an avid runner and has been since high school.
